Fantastic bird-watching experience in a proper reserve
A wonderful day even in the rain. It was so pleasant being in a real nature reserve that was not crowded with people there for the canopy walk or zipline. The guide was keen to find the showy toucans and quetzals, but what we appreciated most was the help spotting the smaller birds we would never have noticed on our own: euphonias, chlorophonias, trogons, grassquits, crested guans, and many hummingbirds. We also saw spider monkeys and a troupe of coatis.
